The Quad Shootout is an event created to generate funds for the Ray Park Foundation, a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. This is a 4 person Team Competition made up of four different events. The events include: 3D Archery, 5 Station Trap, 3D Pop Up Archery and an 18 Hole Golf Scramble. Each team is competing for prizes donated by generous sponsors. Proceeds from the event help fund Ray Howell’s Kicking Bear Base Camp Ministry, hunts for underprivileged young people, 4-H Shooting Sports, Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC), the NASP program in local schools and the PCUPS Foundation.
During the awards ceremony one lucky team will be randomly drawn and awarded the Grand Prize of a custom built fully outtted compound bow. In addition, teams will compete for prize packages worth thousands of dollars and have the opportunity to bid on several other prizes including bows, guns, trips and hunts. Tournament cost per team is $175 per person ($700 per 4 person team).
The trap event will be 1 round of 25 clays from 5 different stations. Each broken clay will be awarded 1 point for a possible 25 points. Final total will be calculated by adding all team member scores together for a possible 100 points.
The 3D course will have a total of 25 targets with a maximum score of 11 points per target. X = 11 points, 10 ring, 8 ring, body = 5 points. Team score will be calculated by adding each team member’s score together. 50 yards max. No arrows are to be pulled until all 4 people in the group have shot. Groups of 4 will be made up of 2 members of one team and 2 members of another team. At the Pop-Up 3D event, all 4 team members will shoot at one time. There will be two rounds of 5 arrows. The targets will score 11, 10, 8 and 5.
Golf will be played as a 4 man team scramble on Saturday. 2 teams per hole and will be matched up according to the team standings from Friday. The team with the highest score from Friday will golf with the team that had the 2nd highest score.
